We are surrounded by the concept of getting ‘skinny’ constantly, but that is the biggest mistake in weight loss.

It’s a common mistake that woman think that not eating will solve the problems of weightloss – but do you realize what is actually happening to to your body when you starve yourself? Starving yourself causes so much harm to your body, and it’s something that will not help you in the long run.

The key to the right kind of weight loss is to think healthy, not skinny!

Did you know that eating ONE bite of a cheese burger is an equivalent to eating TWO big bowls of salads with hard-boiled eggs. Which will last you longer? The cheeseburger or the salad?

It’s all about choosing the right foods. It may seem a little difficult from time to time, but here are a few tips on how you can change your eating habits into the right one. Just change one or two small things will make a huge difference.

Okay now, i know it’s hard to think healthy when your young, and you want to hang outside with friends. But there are options you can take when your eating out. Here are some tips on eating in & out of the house!
Tips on Eating Out
1. Green Away
Choose the greenest thing you find on the menu! As tempting as all the fried chicken looks or the pizza, always try to pick something with the most greens. You may be hungry while looking at the menu, but after a big salad combined with drinks, you will feel full!Say no to carbs
Avoid heavy carbs (potato based dishes, rice, pasta) – they are the main cause for weight gain. Carbohydrates turn into sugar and well, it goes straight to the butt. We don’t want that do we?

2. Share your meal
They do say ‘sharing is caring’ for a reason. Splitting the meal in half will also split the calories in half! So if you have a friend who’s looking to get healthy too, share your meals!3. Keep the sauces to the side.
Whether it’s for the salad, or the gravy for the chicken, keep it aside! Separating the sauces from your meals helps reduce 200 over calories! That really does make a difference.

4. Plan before hand.
Think of possible places you can eat at that has healthy options. If your going to a mall with your friends, plan out what places would have the right foods. At least that way, you are aware before you step into a big puddle of mistakes.

5. Go H2O!
Avoid any sugary drinks because those are made of calories! You should always try to opt for water or tea (unsweetened ofcourse). And well, your body never has enough water – so get drinking!

 Tips on Eating In

6. Keep the fridge full
Fill the fridge with anything and everything healthy. Leave no temptations. Salads, Yougurt, fruits, vegetables, cereal – make sure you stock up on the right things.7. Green Tea Sips
Drink green-tea as often and as much as you can. Ofcourse, balance it out with some water. Not only is green tea full of the good anti-oxidants, but it also hydrates you a  little more then water. And, it tastes good.

8. Plan beforehand
List out the possible meals you could make with the food stored in your fridge. It saves time, and it stops you from eating unnecessary snacks.

So there you have it, a couple of tips on how adapt to a ‘healthy’ lifestyle. It may be hard hard in the beginning, but when you get used to it.. once you get the hang of ‘healthy eating’ you’ll never want to take another bite of fast food!

So when picking up your next lunch, think HEALTHY not SKINNY!
