Alicia Keys had an epiphany a few months back during a photoshoot and has been make-up free ever since. She even made her red carpet appearance on the recent MTV Video Music Awards 2016 sans make-up to get her point across.
Another celebrity is also taking that turn, and it is none other than Gwyneth Paltrow, aka Miss Pepper Potts. The Iron Man actress turned 44 yesterday, she commemorated it by posting a make-up free selfie on Instagram.
The caption reads, “#nomakeup for my 44th birthday, embracing my past and future. Thank you for the instalove #goopgoesmakeupfree @goop“. Gwyneth is seen smiling, in a floral, v-neck top while showing off her long blond locks.
The award-winning actress is usually spotted with very minimal make-up, like mascara and cheek tint. “I only use mineral sunscreens, never the chemicals one,” she told New York Times. “I don’t understand why anyone would put on carcinogens.”
Well, we’re happy that more and more celebrities are going au-naturel and embracing themselves. And oh, happy belated birthday, Gwyneth!
