Japan is home to all things weird and wonderful as we all know, and while chocolate is one of the greatest gifts given to mankind, including the humble Kit Kat, this new Kit Kat flavour is by far the most next-level, and possibly even abominable.
Nope, it’s not another melon or cheese or plum or sake flavour – it’s now cough-drop flavoured. That’s right.. the kind you use to soothe your throat; cold medicine basically.
It’s innovative for sure, but the bizarre chocolate wafer bar won’t be available for long. It’s being released to promote Japanese soccer player Yasutaro Matsuki, in conjunction with the FIFA World Cup matches, and will halt sales after September 10.
This novelty flavour will comprise of the wafer that is coated in white chocolate with powdered cough drops mixed into it. Has Nestlé officially ruined the candy for us all?
