The world went nuts when erotic novel 50 Shades of Grey burst into pop culture, sending mass waves of anticipation on the perfect man who would play lead character Christian Grey.
Everyone thought it would be smoking’ hot Ian Somerhalder, but that’s not who author E.L. James chose.
Instead, she revealed on Twitter that Christian Grey will be played by Sons of Anarchy star, Charlie Hunnam. James later revealed an hour later that Dakota Johnson was cast as Anastasia Steele, a young woman who finds herself in a sexually adventurous affair with Christian Grey.
The film adaptation of 50 Shades of Grey will be out in theaters on August 1, 2014. [Source]
