Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield shippers, we have some bad news. According to reports, the La La Land star is dating Saturday Night Live (SNL) writer and segment director Dave McCary.
While nothing has been confirmed as both of them have yet to comment, they met when Emma hosted the show in December last year. They also reportedly attended the premiere of his film, Brigsy Bear, together in June.
Just in case you need a refresher, other Hollywood stars who are dating SNL staffers they met during their own appearances on the show include Ben Affleck and Scarlett Johansson. Could SNL be the “new Tinder” according to Page Six?
Stone and Garfield, who met during the filming of 2012’s The Amazing Spiderman, dated for three years before going separate ways. Yet, they have maintained a strong friendship.
Earlier in 2017, Garfield even teared up when Emma received an Academy Award for Best Actress for her La La Land performance. He further noted that it’s “bliss” to watch her succeed and that it’s “wonderful to have that kind of support for each other”.
