Last week, Zalora unveiled a collection that’s sure to be coveted by all this Raya – Savannah by Jovian Mandagie.
Inspired by intricate elements of African cultures, the designer gives a tribal nod to an earthy colour palette and prints usually seen on traditional fabrics.
Aptly named Savannah, the collection marries distinctive patterns with bold hues while incorporating Jovian’s style DNA of embellishments and detailed beading. Modern Baju Kurung styles with asymmetrical panelling, single sleeved draped shoulder dresses, half-cape dresses galore will definitely have you reaching for your purse for a stunning piece of Jovian’s creation.
Expect fabrics such as crepe, heavy satin, mixed cotton, organza, and lace, in shades of greens, pinks, greys, and browns. The collection carries 40 looks for the urban woman with a responsibility towards style this Raya.
“I’ve always wanted to design something different across every season, and this collection gives a unique impact compared to my past designs,” said Jovian Mandagie.
