Well known for her nature inspired art, a unique method of digitally and physically layering botanical patterns, Kristjana S. Williams blends the modern with the natural to honour the beautiful symmetry in all living landscapes.
Currently featured in the Victoria & Albert Museum in London as part of the Alice in Wonderland-themed exhibition, ‘Alice: Curiouser and Curiouser’, Kristjana is celebrated by The New York Times as part of the’ new antiquarian movement’. Her original work features a rich mix of animals and insects interlaced with bountiful foliage, layered over ancient maps and antique photographs, creating what Kristjana calls’ wishful forests’.
