I love being an adult because we’re free from the torture of having to manually calculate something that can easily be done in a fraction of the time using a calculator. Please excuse me, studying has never been my favorite pastime, it’s actually the worst knowing that you have to pay to be tortured by teachers but let’s not let my negativity influence kids out there. What I’m trying to say is, it’s easier for some to learn while the others like myself struggle so here’s a rather fun way to teach your kid how to multiply numbers simply by doodling. Solving long winded math questions during exams isn’t fun, especially if they have a hundred of them more to solve and they only have 1 hour left on the clock. The video below demonstrates just how easy it is to multiply big numbers simply by drawing lines.
Back in the days when I was being tortured to do all these in school, we actually had to provide all the steps on how we got our answers and that actually account for more marks than the actual answers itself. Nonetheless, math is crucial subject and if you’re trying to get your children to learn, here’s a different approach that might generate some interest. As for me, I’m happy with the calculator app on my iPhone.
