Famous for its shiny red soles and sky-high stilettos, Christian Louboutin heels are one of the most sought after wardrobe items for any stylish girl.
Yesterday, the French shoe designer launched his beauty line and the first pieces from the Christian Louboutin Beauté collection are none than nail varnishes, which makes perfect sense if you know how his signature red soles came about. When Louboutin first started making shoes and was finalising his selection, he felt that his designs lacked something. What did he do next? The man took a bottle of nail varnish from an assistant and painted the soles of his shoes with her red nail polish. The rest, is history.
Currently only available in the United States, Louboutin is venturing into the beauty business with a range of nail polishes that mimic the attitude of his shoes. The bottles are tall and spiky and to whet our appetite, a bold, red nail polish aptly named Rouge Louboutin (priced at USD50) will be the first to be launched in the US while the remaining 30 shades will be launched next month.
Our only question is: When is it coming to Malaysia?
