Following the couples argument outside a restaurant where the millionaire choked his wife Nigella, Saatchi tries to play down paparazzi photos of the row. While Lawson has chosen to lay low by stepping out and renting a house in Los Angeles, Saatchi has told the London Evening Standard that “Even domestic goddesses sometimes have a bit of snot in their nose. I was trying to fish it out”.
We don’t know who the art collector is trying to fool but after he was photographed grabbing Lawson’s neck outside Scott’s, a restaurant in Mayfair. Initially he referred to what had transpired as a ‘playful tiff’.
