Charles & Keith recently showcased their latest summer collection at Suria KLCC.
The glamorous event which was attended by local celebrities such as Azura from Red FM and violinist, Dennis Lau and many more was held on 20th April 2012.
The event took place from 8pm to 9pm after which Dennis Lau entertained the guests with a classic performance. So what was Charles & Keith’s theme this time around.
The summer collection for this year revolved around natural elements and there were three different sets of collection which was showcased.
Tropicaland Collection
You would be able to guess the elements which was featured from this theme through its name itself. Yes. The main focus of this theme was our tropical jungle which are made up of different plants, animals and other elements. The unique colour combination of the tropical forest was used for this collection such as green, lemon yellow and zesty orange. The heels and wedges from this set of collection was printed with fine elements from the forest and the sling bags were carefully designed using raw canvas.
This theme revolved around the concept of new and old whereby it was a unique combination of various tribes and modern trends. The main colours which were used in this series of collection to bring out the effect of old vs new were earthly brown, contemporary grey and classic maroon with ethnic prints from different living creatures. Stitching, weaving, braiding and beading can be seen clearly in these designs to mark the classic look which was introduced long before by people from the different tribes.
Urbanite Collection
Modern, luxurious and classy is the main highlight of this theme. This set of collection was designed using concepts of modern development and it was featured in nude black and wine to bring out the sleek and sophisticated modern look.
