An icon during the first few decades of the 20th century, Casati’s extravagant lifestyle, bold fashion statements, and eccentric personality captivated some of the most influential artists and designers of the era including Léon Beask, Paul Poiret, Erté and Giovanni Boldini.
Considered to be the world’s first female dandy among the European high society, Luisa Casati was the muse for both renowned portraits and innovative collections, satisfying her desire for immortalisation.
