Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie: JUST MARRIED!!
After nine years being together, six kids and more than two years of being engaged, the power couple finally tied the knot on Saturday (23rd August 2014) in a small chapel at Chateau Miraval in the south of France.
Pitt, 50, and Jolie, 39, got their marriage license from a California judge, who also performed the ceremony.
The family’s spokesperson said, “It was a non-denominational civil ceremony. It was very much a family affair.”
Pitt once again turned to Robert Procop, who designed Jolie’s near 16-carat engagement ring, to forge their wedding bands.
E! News reported that Jolie wore a white gown that was “very traditional, but very Angie, it was comfortable but plain white floor-length antique lace and silk,” a source told the site. As of now, we still have no clue who’s the designer.
E! News also reported that Pitt “gasped because she looked so stunning” as he lifted her veil.
For the occasion, Jolie is said to have worn accessories that belonged to her late mother, Marcheline Betrand. It was a gold locket with a photo of Betrand in it.
Surely, all their six children were involved. Maddox, 13, and Pax, 11, walked their mother down the aisle, Zahara, 9, and Vivienne, 6, were flower girls, while Shiloh, 8, and Knox, 6, were ring bearers.
Unsurprisingly, Jolie’s father, Jon Voight, didn’t attend his daughter’s wedding and he wasn’t even invited. Voight and Jolie’s relationship suffered a strain after the actor said his divorce with her mother caused Jolie’s “mental problems”. In 2o10, they made amends, but clearly that didn’t go very well.
After the ceremony, Brangelina and the couple’s six children headed to the Mediterranean island nation of Malta, where the newlyweds are shooting their upcoming movie, Bye the Sea.
