6 Beauty Turn-Off’s According To Men

Needless to say that when a woman goes out on a special occasion, it means eyelash extension, bold red lips, fancy outfit, ground-piercing stiletto and not forgetting voluminous locks. Men however have quintessential taste when it comes to woman and beauty. Although it boils down to preference and choice, they share a similar set of likes and dislikes about beauty. Here are 6 beauty turn-offs according to men.

Heavy makeup

Men find ladies with thick and heavy makeup unappealingly a major turnoff. Although ladies spend so much money, time and effort in getting a look together, it does not necessarily mean men appreciate that as well. According to men, they prefer a rather ‘natural’ makeup look on ladies, as they still want to appreciate their natural beauty. So ladies, it’s ok to go easy on the makeup sometimes.

Too much bronzer

Appropriate amount of bronzer application on the right areas are stunning. However, there’s a thin line between enhancing and ruining your natural beauty. Always keep the contouring and bronzing to minimal as you’d want it to define your face, not remodel.

Thick drawn eyebrows

There are many techniques to enhance sparse eyebrows. Modern technology has taken eyebrow enhancing to new lengths with permanent tattooing and even hair implants. Going overboard with too dark or unnatural coloured eyebrows are major turnoffs. For a more subtle look, try using an eyebrow pencil and avoid harsh lines by brushing it afterwards.

Facial hair

Almost every human is born with facial hair. While it’s absolutely normal to have hair on your face, some females have more than others and it could be a bit of a challenge dealing with it. With many hair removal options available these days, having facial hair is no longer a big concern. Men may not find it attractive, but hey, no one is ultimately judging!

Dry or chapped lips

Dry lips can be a turn off, especially if you have a lipstick over it. Having cracks and dry skin peeling off can be unsightly. Therefore, it’s always best to apply a lip balm on your lips before applying lipstick. The lip balm will make your lips soft and supple.

Lipstick on teeth

Even the biggest celebrities have got lipsticks on their teeth. This happens when the lipstick is over applied on the inner part of your lips. Once your lipstick is in place, simply place a finger in between your lips and pull through. This will remove product located on the inside of your lips and prevent it from transferring to your teeth.
