How To Revamp and Reuse Your Unwanted Skincare Products On The Body Instead

It’s like deciphering a foreign language when it comes to reading the ingredients list on skincare products. Manufacturers will usually toss the average consumer a bone by inserting the more colloquial name in commas next to the scientific name, such as Tocopherol (Vitamin E).

Unfortunately, without that tiny prod, the ingredients list can quickly become a jumble of long unknown terms separated by commas.

Packaging and popularity are simple traps to slip into, and we divert from focusing and weighing on what’s beneficial for our skin buying things just for the pretty packages or the hype we see on social media. Buying the wrong product can lead our sensitive skin to react severely to unknown ingredients.

So, what should we do with that skincare splurge we just made that’s gathering dust on the shelf? It’s time for a revamp!

Benzoyl Peroxide

I’m sure all acne lovelies, we would have bought Benzoyl Peroxide to rip those nasty zits off our skin. However, oftentimes, using a higher dosage of BZ could have affected your skin or made you break out even more.

If Benzoyl Peroxide is just too harsh for your face, apply it under your armpits to curn body odour!

You don’t have to use it every night but maybe four times a week at most can give you evitable results! I’m not even joking folks. Benzoyl Peroxide can really help keep your underarm odour under control.

Do be cautious when you use Benzoyl Peroxide as it may stain your towels and clothes!

Facial Oils

Oils… yes those thick luxurious lubricants that are quite highly preached to smoothen our skin may not always be our facial skin’s best of friends. Oils on facial skin can at times aggravate more breakouts or sebum production sadly for some 🙁

So what do we do with them? Simply, throw unused oils in your bathtub!

You can use a whole dropper in your bathtub or give yourself a nice oil massage as it may hydrate and soften other parts of your skin on your body!

These deceptively simple ingredients have often been ignored with the advent of the contemporary cosmetic and wellness industries, but they’ve enjoyed a bit of a rebirth in the public spotlight over the last decade, as individuals attempt to find additive-free, inexpensive, and effective products.

So why splurge unnecessarily on body moisturizer, harmful under armpit scrubs or whiteners when you can revamp your skincare like this ;p
