Personalising treatment with AI involves gathering medical and lifestyle history through a questionnaire, allowing clients to select their top two skin concerns, and conducting an AI scan that assesses the nine skin parameters and determines skin age. “I founded Bare Skin as I realised that there was a lack of awareness on what exactly a facial could help achieve in terms of skincare, ” shares Ena Cesir.
“There’s a common misconception that facials are quick fixes or immediate solutions in addressing skin concerns—but if you’ve been dealing with a particular issue such as acne or patchiness for some time, one facial is not going to address it permanently. Another popular misconception I’ve noticed is that many believe that the longer the facial takes, the more effective it is, or the more value for money you get out of it. I wanted to challenge these misconceptions by emphasising the importance of consistency and personalisation in achieving long-term skin health. Our goal is to provide effective and affordable solutions that evolve with our clients’ needs—we want to empower them to love the skin they’re in, all day, every day,” said Ena again.
In addition to skincare, Bare Skin also offers laser hair removal treatments using a unique ice diode laser. While traditional laser diode hair removal targets the melanin, or pigment, in hair follicles by using heat to damage hair follicles and inhibit growth, the ice diode uses cool tip technology, allowing for sessions that are quicker, and less painful, with the same long-lasting results.
In Malaysia, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is the prevalent technology for hair removal, and uses a different wavelength than diode lasers, leading to energy loss as it travels from the skin’s surface to the hair root. As a result, IPL often requires more sessions, is typically more painful, and is not safe for darker skin tones.
In contrast, diode lasers operate at a scientifically proven wavelength of 808nm, providing deeper penetration directly to the hair bulb with no energy loss, resulting in fewer sessions and optimal results.
