Dear Ms. Lipstiq,
I’ve been pondering to myself for the longest time. I’ve got myself in a little tangle. I’ve liked this guy for the longest time, but now, there seems to be another guy in the picture. Basically, it started when I was really close to a guy friend of mine, he knew I liked this other guy and was in a sense ‘helping me through it’ but then, now that things are going to with this crush of mine.. I’m starting to realize that I have feelings for that other friend of mine too.I guess it’s the comfort that he gives me. They are both really different people, but they both give me a tingle of happiness that I can’t explain. I know it’s wrong for me to like them both, but what do I do? What is wrong with me? How do I switch off the feelings of liking two people? This is all really too confusing! I don’t know what to do… Help me, Ms. Lipstiq!

First and foremost, take a step back and breathe. You might be a little in over your head right now – and the confusing may be getting to you. It is absolutely normal to have mixed feelings about two people, but at the same time, it is something that you really have to choose from. You have to ask yourself the simple question, who do you like better? Who do you see yourself being happier with? You can’t just judge them over comfort or small things. In a situation like this, you should try to see things in the bigger picture, rather than looking at it in the moment. Because in the moment, your emotions are bound to be everywhere. But, whatever you do, don’t beat yourself up about this. It’s perfectly normal and it’s part of your growing experience – but whatever you do, don’t two time anyone, because that is considered cheating – and you don’t want to go into that direction do you? Well conclusion, you are going to have to choose, as difficult as it is… You will have to. But, make sure you know what you’re doing, okay? All the best, and keep your chin up!
