Yup, Bangkok is officially on our list of must-visit cities this holiday season. After opening its doors for Stylenanda’s Pink Hotel from South Korea and the Harry Potter’s Wizarding World Exhibition, Bangkok welcomes yet another great thing that we, Malaysians, have yet to have.

On November 24, popular American F&B joint, The Cheesecake Factory, announced on its Thailand Facebook page that it will be opening its first outlet in the city in Thailand’s third largest shopping mall, Siam Paragon. Evidently, tons of excitement flooded the comments section as many simply couldn’t wait.

The American eatery cum bakery will mark its expansion in Bangkok on December 16, just in time before Christmas! Located on the ground floor of Siam Paragon, The Cheesecake Factory marks the third ’90s classic U.S. imports to the mall this year, after IHOP and Jamba Juice.

The Cheesecake Factory first began in Beverly Hills, California in 1978. Although famed for cheesecakes, the chain serves everything you can find in classic American diners. Breaking out of California, the chain’s first overseas store is located in Dubai. That was back in 2012, it has now expanded throughout North America, the Middle East and Asia.

The Cheesecake Factory’s fun flavours like piña colada cheesecake, pineapple upside-down cheesecake and Funfetti cheesecake have always been favourites in America, and the Bangkok outlet will be starting off by serving 13 of its most popular selections.

With Original cheesecake being a must-try, The Cheesecake Factory will also serve varieties like Dutch apple, white chocolate raspberry, tuxedo mousse and more. While a 2.3 pound whole cake costs RM151.33 (approx. 1200 THB), the Original flavour is priced at RM20 (approx. 159 THB) per slice whereas special flavours start at RM27.62 (approx. 219 THB) per slice.

If you can’t get yourself there this holiday season, there is always 2018. You can look forward to trying all the cheesecake flavours during one of the many Malaysian long holidays in 2018. For the latest updates on The Cheesecake Factory Thailand, look up its official Facebook page.
