In 2009, they came to the very same venue and blew everyone away with their wonderful set, where they churned hours-long of fist-pumping tunes, after tunes, after tunes. Loyal fans waited all day with bated breaths for the night to start only to wish that it had lasted longer when the music has finally stopped. Bummer.
And you know, only truly significant performers can have that effect on people – and they are none other than trance music’s hottest trio, Above & Beyond.
Two years later, on the 26th of October 2011, Above & Beyond returned to KL Live promising to once again, sweep their fans off their feet. And “sweep” they did, alongside making party goers fall in love all over again with classic Above & Beyond tracks such as “Breaking Ties“, “On A Good Day“, and “Home“, just to name a few.
Of course, they didn’t leave their fans’ expectations unattended.
In tune with their “Group Therapy World Tour”, the world-famous DJs made it a point to drop music that is magic to their fans’ ears. Tracks such as “Sun & Moon“, “Thing Called Love“, and “On My Way To Heaven” drove the crowd on the jam-packed KL Live dance floor absolutely mental! Over the music, you could hear them sing along to every single word, without skipping a beat.
But their performance was made of many other components aside from just music. That fortunate night, people were also kept entertained by the impressive LEDs backdrop and the “running text” that the talented Jono Grant and Paavo Siljamäki took turns to “compose”, in efforts to further communicate with their fans.
It was something only Above & Beyond is capable of – to channel love via their astounding music production and to bring their fans together on one amazing night as a single entity. To sing along, share the same respect and love, and above all, have the time of their lives.
