Take note, people! From today onwards, AirAsia has banned all lithium-powered personal transportation devices as check-in and hand baggage on all of its AirAsia and AirAsia X flights.

This includes Segways, hoverboards, mini-Segways, solowheels, electronic scooters, airwheels, or any other similar equipment.

Having said that, battery operated wheelchairs or mobility devices may be permitted; subject to the removal of the batteries. For wheelchairs and mobility devices, the maximum weight allowed is 85kg.
