Like a scene from a post-apocalyptic movie, this abandoned mall in Bangkok has turned into one giant amazing koi pond.

A travel writer known as Jesse Rockwell came across the mall while he was visiting Thailand last year. Also a photographer, Jesse managed capture a few amazing photos of this forgotten mall, which now has fish, specifically exotic koi and catfish living in the secret subterranean aquarium.

According to Jesse, this now abandoned mall has been empty since it faced a fatal fire in 1999 and the lower ground of it eventually was covered in water. Just about ten years ago, somebody decided to introduce a small population of fish to the water and now it’s become an populated urban aquarium.

Jesse also pointed out that the mall is not the easiest place to find, and due that reason, tourists are often discouraged from visiting the amazing place.

The sign outside says, “do not enter,” but that hasn’t stopped Jesse from taking some of these cool photos.
