As if dedicated shopping apps weren’t enough, Facebook recently confirmed its latest development of an integrated shopping function directly on its site.
The new feature allows retailers and e-commerce sites to host a selection of products directly on their Facebook pages. On mobile devices, the shoppable section will be placed above the Timeline and on a desktop, it will show up as a tab alongside About and Photos.
Brands will also have the option to allow customers to complete their purchase via Facebook’s integrated checkout system, or be directed to the company’s own site to finalise orders.
