Urbanspace Sdn Bhd has launched their 74,000 sq ft mixed-use development The Row, located on Jalan Doraisamy in Kuala Lumpur. The Row is made up of twenty-two 1940’s pre-war shophouses, and the area was well known for being Kuala Lumpur’s go-to nightlife spot, dubbed Asian Heritage Row. In an effort to revitalize more interest in the once booming area again, The Row is being readapted to include brand new retail shops, galleries, cafes, bars, restaurants, and offices! The traditions of the past are still quite clear, as shown in accents of the architecture and even an authentic Baba Nyonya resturant called LimaPulo.
Once completely restored, The Row will be a fun, accessible hang out spot for tourists and locals alike, providing a more down-to-earth alternative to KL’s fast paced city life. Butter + Beans is a trendy cafe that’s been situated in the area, and is near the urban clothing store League of Champions which provides modern, edgy attire. Those looking for a drink and a fun night out with friends and go right along to Mojo, a hip beer garden full of beautiful greenery and delicious cocktails. There’s even a convenient co-working space for the young, start-up community, at the new office space dubbed The Co. Kuala Lumpur’s colourful community of creative minds and artists can make use of Slate, which is a huge event space which is furnished with the highest quality art events equipment.
Full of culture, opportunity, and fun, The Row’s reinvention will surely be another famous addition to Kuala Lumpur’s many hotspots, and is set to expand to be even bigger and better within the next few years. To learn more about this exciting new development, check out The Row’s official website.
