The most wonderful time of the year is almost here and it’s time to deck your home with Christmas decorations to set the mood. Since we live in a tropical country, the weather can’t play a major role in Christmas but how we dress up our homes can! Capture the true magic of Christmas with festive touches that will make your home so merry with these tips:

1. Create your table of sweet tidings
You’ve decorated the living room with Christmasy bits and bobs, now it’s time to bring some colour to your table with sweet delights. Make sure you add some candy canes to set the festive mood!

2) Be daring with your baubles
I love baubles and I just can’t get enough of them when I am decorating the tree. However, you don’t have to restrict your shiny and magnificent baubles to the tree. Hang them on your chandelier over your dining table or even make it a centrepiece for the table to give your home a more Christmasy vibe!

3) The more baubles, the better
Seriously though, I love baubles. There are parts of your home that look bland and one way you can decorate those parts during Christmas is to fill a clear vase with lots of pretty baubles. Such a simple idea can really transform a room.

4) Dress up your table in white
It’s that time of that year so you might want to switch your everyday tablecloth and replace it with a sophisticated winter-white one. Add a Christmas-themed table runner and other elements that will really set the mood of your dining area.

5) Get festive with pillows
Swap your everyday throw pillows with some Christmas-themed ones to get in the holiday spirits. Nothing is cuter than a reindeer or Santa Claus pillow to adorn the bedroom or even the living room with.
