If you have ever tried any of Laura Mercier’s top-notch products, you will know that every single one is simply amazing. Pick the right tone and it can turn your skin into a natural glowing sheet of beauty. I discovered Laura Mercier makeup products about 4 years ago and I have not looked back. The basic principle of Laura Mercier’s makeup products is the flawless finish that each one give, and thanks to the folks at Laura Mercier, we got to review three of their award-winning items:
Foundation Primer
About the product: This lightweight, creamy gel is meant to be used before you apply your foundation of choice. It creates an invisible layer that acts as a bigger to outside elements.
How to use: Create an even surface first and massage a liberal amount of primer all over the face for a few minutes as massaging the skin is stimulating and healthy for the skin. If you wear sun block or moisturizer, you should apply that before the Foundation Primer and avoid the eye area if you have sensitive eyes.
Lipstiq’s review: I’ve tried many primers in my time and not a lot of work. I’m not sure as to why but I think my skin is just fussy. However, when I tried Laura Mercier’s Foundation Primer, I found that it prolongs the wear time. It also created a flawless canval and control oil, which is super great because my skin is prone to getting oily as the day goes by. I loved the 30ml tube that it comes in as well because it’s perfect for traveling. If you have oily skin like myself, you should probably dab some powder in your problem areas after five hours or so of wear.

Smooth Finish Foundation Powder
About the product: This silky-smooth innovation offers a natural veil that imparts a colour true finish. It glides on effortlessly, camouflages, hydrates and visibly reduce lines. Provides dual coverage in the form of a sheer to medium powder or buildable wet, which allows you to customize your coverage.
How to use: For sheer to medium coverage (dry): Use the enclosed sponge and apply just as you would a pressed powder to the desired areas of the face avoiding the eye area. For medium to full coverage (wet): Dampen the sponge and apply desired amount; smooth onto the face avoiding the eye area.
Lipstiq’s review: Nothing is better than having a foundation powder that fits perfectly in your handbag. Like I mentioned before, my skin gets a little oily as the day passes and for ladies that have the same problem, you will find that this foundation powder will not disappoint. It does everything it says it would and a definite must-have for those who are looking for medium coverage. For best results, use it over a primer.

Tinted Moisturizer Shades – Original Formula
About the product: Laura’s revolutionary and award-winning Tinted Moisturizer is a sheer, lightweight moisturizer with SPF 20 and a hint of colour that can be used in place of foundation for a natural appearance while adding a healthy glow to the complexion.
How to use: Place a small amount of Tinted Moisturizer on the back of your hand and pick up formula with the narrow end of an egg-shaped sponge or clean fingertips. Apply to the face working on one area at a time. Laura recommends starting at the outer portion of the face and working inwards toward the nose. Avoid excess application around the contours of the face and blend well. Repeat the steps until you have achieved your desired coverage.
Lipstiq’s review: There are many things that I love in my makeup bag but nothing that I love more than Laura Mercier’s Tinted Moisturizer. I was never a big fan of foundation, so someone I knew introduced me to this and I fell in love completely. On days that I want to look completely natural, I apply a thin layer of the Tinted Moisturizer and nothing else. Okay, maybe some mascara but that’s it. This Tinted Moisturizer is perfect if you’re trying to achieve the natural look with added glow. With the right shade, you can amplify the beauty of your natural skin colour.
