Asians aren’t as lucky as Europeans to be blessed with snow during the holidays. So that means we actually have to travel to the other side of the world if we want a winter vacation. If you’re looking for a true winter experience, Europe has some of the best and most diverse places to spend the winter. To give you a helping hand, we’ve listed a few of Europe’s best cities to explore:
Paris, France
Paris is itself the most during the winter. The city is less crowded and there is plenty to see and do. You can wander through the Louvre and even take advantage of the museums and monuments that offer free admission on first Sundays. What better time to enjoy your croissants than when in France and plus, the sales mean you can do plenty of shopping too!
Abisko, Sweden
If you’re seriously in love with winter then Abisko is probably a town that you just have to visit. As far North as you can get on a train, this charming Swedish town is one of the best places for you to catch the Northern Lights. But keep it mind that the sun doesn’t come up for weeks on end during December and January. Besides marveling at the beautiful Aurora Borealis, you can also ski, hike, go dog-sledding, ice skate and explore the vast national parks.
