Known as one of the world’s first supermodel, Janice Dickinson recently appeared on Botched and due to all the negative press she was receiving, she decided that she wanted her breast implants changed by Dr. Terry Dubrow. But he was shocked when she revealed that her implants were 30-years-old!
I’m no breast implants expert, but I’m pretty sure that’s old.
“Implants have a certain shelf life, a timeline and I ignored it,” said Janice. “But thanks to Dr. Dubrow, he said that they had to come out immediately—not just for aesthetic reasons but for health reasons.”
No stranger to cosmetic surgery, Janice has gotten work done on her as long as it was necessary and performed by board-certified professionals with a renowned reputation to match, like Dr. Dubrow or Dr. Paul Nassif. And of course, a good support system is also a necessity.
Janice described the experience of watching herself going under the knife on TV as “shocking”, despite having been in the operation room before.
Janice also said of her post-surgery recovery and development as amazing. “My breasts are absolutely younger and more natural and better than I’ve ever dreamt of having! I was being panned in the press but now there’s nothing that they can say about them. Dr. Dubrow and Dr. Nassif do the most beautiful work and I’m really grateful to the doctors for their expertise.”
Alongside the surgery being one of Dr. Dubrow’s most challenging he has ever performed, hers was a life-changing one due to the fact that he discovered a lump, which had to sent out for a biopsy.
Thank goodness for Janice, the lump was not cancerous, but the three day wait seemed like forever to the supermodel, who is known best as a former judge on America’s Next Top Model.
“During those three days, it opened my eyes up to all the millions of men, women and family members that have been touched personally by breast cancer,” said the leggy beauty. “I’m not Mother Teresa but I really empathize and plead with women to have annual mammograms. My heart really went out to other women going through the same experience and with that being said, I’m really going to get behind breast cancer and fight as hard as I can for the rest of my life to help come up with the cure for cancer.”
