What a fashion disaster! One of our favourite online shopping retailers has temporarily stopped taking orders. Fashion fans, now’s the perfect time to panic.

ASOS’s main Barnsley warehouse was substantially damaged on Friday night when a fire broke out.

ASOS then released a statement on its Facebook page:

Post by ASOS.

The warehouse is more than 60,000 square metres in size and holds over 10 million boxes of packaging due to be delivered everywhere worldwide.

South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue mentioned that several floors had been “badly damaged” by the fire.

“The fire involving the ASOS warehouse on Park Spring Road, Barnsley is now out, with one fire engine remaining at the scene to ensure any remaining ‘hot spots’ to not reignite,” a fire service spokesman said.

“At its height, the fire was tackled by 10 fire engines, an aerial ladder platform and a high volume Pump.”

If you’ve recently placed an ASOS order, do note that it will be delayed. Yikes!
