A bank officer’s family called off his wedding preparations in Nizamabad after pictures of his bride and her ex-boyfriend surfaced on Facebook, Tamil Nesan reported.
While relatives were dealing with wedding preparations on Thursday, the bride’s former boyfriend, known only as Azad, and two others charged into the woman’s home and demanded that she married him. The three fled when police were called.
Azad and his two sidekicks are graduates from the Malla Reddy Engineering College, where the bank officer had also studied.
Following the incident, Azad allegedly hacked into the bank officer’s Facebook account and posted pictures of him and his 23-year-old ex-girlfriend, a junior bank executive.
The woman’s family cancelled all wedding plans the very next day.
Hyderabad state police have since arrested Azad and his accomplices.
