Swedish fashion retailer H&M just made us love them even more with their new Conscious Collection that hit selected stores yesterday. This Spring, H&M continues their sustainable streak of success with a collection that’s not only to-die-for, but it will make you feel good knowing that these gorgeous clothes were made from recycled material. How’s that for a win-win situation?
Split into two collections, The Conscious Exclusive Collection and The Conscious Collection, H&M collaborated with EVER Manisfesto, a sustainable fashion and design think tank. The Exclusive Collection (seen on the likes of Jessica Alba and Miranda Kerr) is made with more sustainable materials such as organic cotton, recycled polyester, recycled polyamide and Tencel® which is a biodegradable fabric derived from wood pulp. New materials such as organic leather and silk have also been added to this collection. We are totally digging the Spanish inspiration in this much-sought after collection. The flamenco details and matador inspired pieces with a generous dash of embellishment will add luxury and drama to your wardrobe.
The Conscious Collection this year has an amazing palette of vibrant tangerine and deep pinks inspired by the sunset in the desert as well as earthy bronzes and sandy terracotta. You’ll be doing your part in creating a better future for planet Earth as each piece of garment from the Conscious collection is made from environmentally friendly materials such as Tencel®, recycled cotton, recycled polyester and organic cotton. We actually visited the branch at Avenue K last night and these babies are flying off the racks pronto. We suggest you pay a visit to H&M stores carrying the Conscious collections fast to avoid disappointment.
The Conscious Exclusive and Conscious Collections will be available in stores from April 10 onwards. The Conscious Collection is available at Lot 10 and Avenue K while the Conscious Exclusive is available at Lot 10 only.
