This new Veet commercial suggests that women who allow prickly stubble to re-grow on their legs could be mistaken for a man. Yes, that’s right.

Obviously, it seems like the only way for women to regain their femininity is the exclusive use of Veet’s body wax.

In a move seemingly aimed at tapping into female insecurities, Veet urges women to “stay smooth” with its latest campaign: Don’t Risk Dudeness – Don’t Wake Up To A Stubbly Surprise.

The advert shows an innocent boyfriend waking up next to another man. The only thing is, it’s not a man. It’s you, because you haven’t waxed your legs.

Sure enough, the campaign has now become a prickly issue amongst netizens. Veet has been accused of sexism after the advert sparked outrage on social media.

Watch the commercial and let us know what you think!
