Designer L’Wren Scott was found dead due to an apparent suicide on March 17, 2014.
News sites have confirmed that the esteemed designer and girlfriend of Mick Jagger tragically took her life in her Manhattan apartment, shocking fans and friends everywhere.
The 49-year-old bombshell, who recently designed a collaboration collection for Banana Republic for holiday, was found hanging by a scarf inside of her eighth floor apartment on 11th Avenue in the Big Apple.
A spokesperson for Jagger says the Rolling Stones frontman was “completely shocked and devastated” by the sudden death of his girlfriend.
The style icon and former model cancelled her London Fashion Week show last month due to production problems.
The 6’4″ stunner was raised by her Mormon adoptive parents in Utah and moved to California in the early 1990s to make her mark in the fashion industry as a stylist after much success as a model in Paris.
She worked with some popular names in the business including Herb Ritts, Helmut Newton, Karl Lagerfeld and Mario Sorrenti, and established herself as a high-profile celebrity stylist working with notables like Madonna and Julia Roberts.
Scott founded her eponymous fashion label in 2006.
