[UPDATE]

East Coast Expressway (ECE) concessionaire Anih Berhad made a mistake in their statement about offering toll discounts to all road users.

Unfortunately, the 10% toll discount offered on Christmas day is applicable only for road users with Touch ‘n Go and SmartTAG.

Thinking about making a short trip for leisure this holiday season? You can loosen up your budget now that several expressways will be offering road users discounts this holiday season.

Projek Lintasan Kota Holdings Sdn Bhd mentioned in a statement that they’ll be giving a 20% discount to those using the Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH), GCE and Lebuhraya Kemuning-Shah Alam (LKSA) on both Christmas and New Year’s Day.

The discount applies from 6am on December 25 to 6am on December 27, and 6am on January 1 to 6am on January 2, 2014.

The Shah Alam Expressway is also said to be offering a 20% discount on Christmas Day for Class One vehicles on December 25 from 12.01am to 11.50pm.

Motorists who use PLUSMiles cards, Touch ‘n’ Go cards or SmartTAG, will also enjoy a 10% toll rebate on Christmas. PLUS Malaysia Berhad says that the users can redeem their rebate when they reload their respective cards at PLUS customer service centres from Jan 16 to April 15 next year.

The Sungai Besi (Besraya), Kajang Seremban (Lekas) and New Pantai (NPE) Expressways will not be offering any discounts during Christmas, however, Class One motorists can enjoy a 10% discount on New Year’s Day instead.
