A 57-year-old tourist by the name of Lim Min Hsu was shot dead by a group of gunmen who raided a resort in Pulau Pom Pom in Semporna, Sabah this morning.
The dead tourist’s wife, 58-year-old An Wei Chang was reported missing after the incident. Police believe that the Taiwanese woman may have been kidnapped by the gunmen. Lim was found with two gunshot wounds along the corridor of the resort.
According to The Star, the couple had arrived on Tuesday and were scheduled to leave the island on November 20. A manhunt has also been launched by the police to locate the suspects and the hostage.
Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar is scheduled to hold a press conference in Kuala Lumpur at 2pm today.
