Selena Gomez, the talented American actress and pop icon can now add being a NEO guest designer to her ongoing list of talents as she unveiled her first collection with adidas NEO Label for their Fall/Winter 2013 Season line. The launch event was held in a flagship adidas NEO store in Berlin where Selena herself had answered questions from her fans on Twitter, with some being answered via videos on Vine.
Her 53-piece collection, which is based on Selena’s ‘rock chic’ style targets teenage girls and offers a twist on a classic rock style with an effortless edge. The designs are also inspired by Selena’s love of music and symbolic style from the world of rock ‘n’ roll.
Selena Gomez mentioned during the launch, “I love playing around with fashion and like clothes that are fun, easy to wear and comfortable. My collection has a ‘rock chic’ theme and it’s confident, rebellious and fun. It’s also a little bit darker and I think it encourages girls to put their own stamp on their individuality and show confidence in what they are wearing.”
Out of the entire collection, Selena has hand-picked her favourite pieces and one of them is the BBNEO Super Wedge sneakers which is undoubtedly the epitome of the rock ‘n’ roll symbol. This black-on-black wedge sneakers which is flawlessly made out of satin and patent leather, then embellished with metallic studs is a must-have statement piece for every girl’s shoe collection.
