Retiree Gurmukh Singh Auter Singh, 68, is troubled by the sudden disappearance of his 35-year-old daughter, Kareen Kaur. He said his daughter, who has a Masters in Computer Science, works as a programmer in Singapore and would usually return home to Kluang via bus or train for the weekend.
“The last we heard from her was when she called my sister and asked is she should come home on Friday.
“During the brief conversation at around 10pm that day, Kareen sounded a little lost and asked ‘who should I follow’ before hanging up,” he said, adding that subsequent phone calls were unanswered.
Gurmukh explains that his daughter sometimes suffers from hallucinations but her condition is under control as she is on medication. He suspects that she did not take her medication the day before she disappeared and may have been confused as to how to return home.
Kareen’s brother, Edwinder Singh, 38, has lodged a missing person’s report in both Singapore and Malaysia. He says that Kareen was dressed in an orange top, black pants and was carrying a dark colored backpacked on the day she went missing. She was last seen on 28th June 2013. Kluang OCPD Asst Comm And Majid Mohd Ali have acknowledged the report and have released the poster above. [Source]
