If you buy your bubble tea from Each-A-Cup, it’s time to find a healthier alternative.

The Ministry of Health, Food Safety and Quality Management Department has issued a statement that says traces of maleic acid was found in the tapioca pearls used in Each-A-Cup products.

The ministry has instructed the relevant importers and distributors, namely Each-A-Cup Limited, to have their products destroyed. Consumers are advised to discard or return any of the purchased products from Each-A-Cup as maleic acid can be destructive to one’s health. (Source)
