I doubt that the real Superman would ever need a heart surgery, he’s so super he can probably make himself recover using some of his strengths, but if he ever needed one, I’m sorry to say that he won’t be able to enjoy the Kryptonite super glue that can create a stronger closure of the breastbone for heart patients after a surgery at the chest area. Unlike steel wires that are currently being used for breastbone surgery closure, Kryptonite can adhesive bonds quickly, effectively and up to 10 times stronger, and yet it takes only about 5 minutes to complete. This means that recovery time will be significantly reduced by about 50%, and there will be fewer complications and less post-operation pain for patients to suffer.
Discovered by Canadian researchers, Kryptonite is proved to even have properties like natural bone and allows for new bone growth. They can significantly reduce pain compared to steel closure so patients can lay off those painkillers and can breathe much easier and more comfortably. To date, it has already been used on over 500 patients across Canada and U.S. and a larger clinical trial will now be implemented. I hope doctors don’t glue bones together wrongly because these things set so darn fast, it’ll be horrible to have to re-break the bone or have a bent one.
