Breakfast Is Forever with the MILO® Breakfast Movement

Monday to Friday is a replay of the following events for most Malaysians – we struggle to get out of bed, we drag ourselves around the house assembling clothes and files; and then comes the dreaded –  driving through the famous Kuala Lumpur traffic! And repeat.

Today, even children have a string of activities lined-up for the day as parents struggle to coordinate their time to juggle family and career. Consequently, we tend to overlook the care for our basic well-being; some skip breakfast; and some take heavy breakfast meals to last the whole day in order to make more time to accommodate those alarming deadlines.

In realizing the challenges that fellow Malaysians face in the mornings, MILO® Malaysia is on a great mission to deepen the relevance of breakfast and to drive action among fellow Malaysians through its nationwide campaign, The MILO® Breakfast Movement!

MILO Splash Mug

Among the activities the campaign has carried out include MILO®’s digital Breakfast Movement on www.milo.com.my/breakfast where visitors can check out easy recipes and submit their breakfast goals along with prominent Malaysian figures like professional ten pin bowler, Shalin Zulkifli and co-founder of Nuffnang, Timothy Tiah.

To date, the digital MILO Breakfast Movement has reached out to more than 100,000 avid breakfast supporters. Furthermore, MILO® has also hit concourse and public areas across Malaysia, distributing up to 500 free breakfast packs! Accompanied with a cup of MILO® from the MILO® Energy Truck, the MILO® team has already hit several states such as Pahang, Penang, Johor and the Klang Valley with a line-up of various action-driven activities like stage performances, cooking demonstrations, nutrition talk and interactive games, all aimed at heightening the awareness of breakfast throughout the country and to encourage the healthy habit amongst Malaysians.

One of the main highlights of the MILO® Breakfast Movement is the Malaysia Breakfast Day which will be held on Sunday, 19 May 2013 at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Serdang! Designed with a variety of activities and games for the whole family, this breakfast gathering presents a great opportunity for Malaysians to unite and celebrate breakfast!

Here’s a quick and easy MILO® breakfast recipe you can make for your family this week!
