A little envy can be healthy, but it can be a total threat when it gets too far in your friendship. We’ve all wished we had something our social circle has – a healthy love life, a great bod, finances, beautiful hair, great skin, those awesome pair of shoes, the ability to pull off a hair bun without looking like a granny, and the list goes on. It’s natural to feel jealousy, but to avoid going overboard with it, here are a few solutions to help you deal ith your competitive streak.
Stop Comparing Yourself
No one has the same DNA. While some are born with incredible features, it doesn’t mean that it makes you any less. Focus on the person YOU want to become, and now who you wished you were. Work on your personal strengths and people should slowly be impressed by you soon.
Not Everyone Has the Same Background
As much as you can envy another person, keep in mind that others could be as envious of you too. Some people get where they are because of how they grew up, and instead of being jealous, turn that into respect.
Be Passionate About You
Love yourself and respect who you are. If you feel unhappy, then it is time to find your own path to happiness – not follow the same steps as someone else. When you love yourself, believe it or not that you do see the world differently and you won’t really be jealous of anyone because you believe in your own capabilities.
Be Realistic
Everyone has their own high and lows, and no one’s life is perfect, either. See the world at it is, and toughen yourself up to face the challenges it holds. We can either fail, or we can lose, but at least you’ve given it all you got!
Stay Positive about the World
Positivity is a powerful tool when it comes to survival in the big world. We don’t mean to see sunshine everything, but you should be able to think of it as another opportunity to give it a try again. Jealousy can lead you to giving up in life, so prove to yourself that you can do a lot to succeed.
