Malaysian-Trained Fighters Join Sulu Army While 10,000 Tausug Sail to Sabah

The battle in Lahad Datu may just get even bigger now that Malaysian-trained commanders of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) are joining the Sulu army.

The MNLF soldiers, who practically know Sabah like the palm of their hands, appear to be a bigger threat to Malaysian security forces who are doing their very best to defend their homeland.

Hadji Acmad Bayam, former chief propagandist of the MNLF, revealed that the MNLF forces may have a huge arsenal at their disposal. It is supposedly hidden deep in Sabah rugged terrain when they returned to the Philippines after their rigid training. Bayam was confident that the Malaysian authorities were not able to find the hidden firearms as they were kept very well by the commanders who stayed in Sabah.

Among the firearms available are Belgian-made G1 and FAL, which the late Libyan leader, Colonel Moammar Gadaffi supplied through Malaysia.

In the meantime, Filipinos in Sabah who are not part of the forces of the Sulu army, have also joined the fight in reaction to what they perceived as Malaysian “atrocities” for killing Imam Maas and his four sons on Saturday.

And that’s not all..

Habib Hashim Mudjahab, chair of the MNLF’s Islamic Council Committee said that at least 10,000 of Tausug from Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi and Zamboango have sailed to Sabah to reinforce the members of the Sulu army.

He said the reinforcements “sailed in small numbers so they can easily penetrate Sabah unnoticed”.

We can only pray for our Malaysian security force and should their lives be sacrificed, we shall remember them as heroes.
