Looks like, Bobbi Brown is breaking out from the makeup counter and going into something completely different.
It has just been announced that make up brand, Bobbi Brown is going venture into the accessories department with its first premium eyewear collection.
Through a licensing agreement with Safilo Group, Bobbi Brown will be launching a line of optical frames and sunglasses in spring 2014.
A company spokeswoman indicated that the deal was inked by Bobbi Brown, the makeup artist, and not via Bobbi Brown’s parent company, the Estée Lauder Cos. Inc.
“I am excited to embark on this new journey with Safilo. I believe that makeup is a way for women to feel and look like themselves, only prettier and more confident,” said Brown, founder and chief creative officer of her namesake company. “As a makeup artist, I have looked at women’s faces for over 20 years and believe that my beauty expertise will translate naturally into eyewear, identifying the best silhouettes and colors for a woman’s face shape, skin tone and lifestyle. This is a new, innovative approach to interpreting eyewear.”
We’re pretty excited to see how the collection is going to look like. Do you think it’s a good expansion for them?
