Talk about taking things to the next step in the marketing world. Pizza Hut is expanding , but no where near the food industry. They are going into fragrance! That’s right, want to smell like a freshly baked oven pizza? Now you can buy that smell!
Pizza Hut has launched an oregano, tomato sauce and cheese-scented cologne in 10 different markets and it’s becoming a viral hit.
This all started with a simple Facebook message from a diehard fan who wanted to bottle the scent of freshly baked pizza – and Pizza Hut turned this in a marketing opportunity by the PR machine at Pizza Hut in Canada.
Not too long after, the company released 100 bottles of the pizza-scented cologne to fans in Canada – and with such a good response, the company then produced 1000 more and they will distribute them to all the social media fans around the world.
This new Eau de Pizza Hut supposedly holds the scent of freshly rising dough and finishes off with savory hints of Italian spices like oregano, tomato sauce, vegetables and of course, cheese.
