Fashion accessories are in the forefront of the trend-setter’s list, especially jewelries. If we have to choose our favourite trend is that is coming back at the moment, it would definitely be the collar necklace. Why? Well, it’s definitely it’s versatility and it can be used repetitively on different outfits. In fact, the collar necklace trend has been around for a while especially when it was frequently seen among the fashion bloggers and celebrities.
We reckon the collar necklace trend started with the Peter Pan collar. The Peter Pan collar is a flat rounded slip around the neck came back as the favourite trend in 2012. Style icons were seen rocking the Peter Pan collar trend and people started to get creative by creating their own detachable Peter Pan collars as well. The more popular the Peter Pan collars got, the more varieties of collars with different fabrics were made available for us. The soft fabric necklace is a must-have fashion accessory and has now evolves into collar necklace.
There are many different styles for the collar necklace according to own preference. Truth to told, we were skeptical towards the collar necklace trend because we were afraid the trend might turn into a trend we grew tired of seeing. Surprisingly, as compared to other accessories, the collar necklace seem to have its staying power and even evolves into bolder and statement bib necklaces. It can be sweet and cute with the beads on it, but it becomes funky cool and edgy with the studs and colour splashes.
