Malaysia’s prestigious annual song competition, Anugerah Juara Lagu was back for it’s 27th year at Stadium Putra, Bukit Jalil on the 6th of January to see 12 of the year’s best songs compete for the Best Song award.
Hosted by local television hosts, Faizal Ismail and Cheryl Samad, this year’s AJL concept and overall theme was ‘Expressionf of Art’. Among some of the performers at the 27th Anugerah Juara Lagu were Shila Amzah, Bedroom Sanctuary, Hafiz and Amir Jahari. The finalists were backed by a 44-piece orchestra led by Datuk Ramli M.S. This year, the winner of the Best Performance award was also determined via text voting. Male singer, Aizat Hamdan took Yuna‘s place at the awards show to perform a beautiful rendition of her well-loved song, Terukir di Bintang.

4. Vokal Terbaik (Best Vocals) – Ku Akui (Hafiz)
5. Persembahan Terbaik (Best Performance) – Teman Pengganti (Black & RJ)
