We all remember Michelle Tratchenberg as the cunning Georgina Sparks in Gossip Girl and her role as Dawn Summers in our all-time favorite horror/fantasy TV show, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Michelle Tratchenberg is an American actress, born October 11, 1985 is one of Hollywood’s child stars that’s managed to maintain a wholesome image and we have to say, we really love this girl! Here’s a couple of fun facts that you probably didn’t know about this doll-eyed beauty!
1. At the age of 10, Michelle won the lead role of the film Harriet the Spy. The film gave her the opportunity to win a Young Artist Award for Best Leading Young Actress in a Feature Film. In 2001, she also received the Young Artist Awards for Best Performance in a TV Drama Series as Supporting Young Actress for her role as Dawn Summers in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
2.Michelle studied ballet as a child. Her dancing skills were deemed useful in the musical episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, “Once More With Feeling”. It also helped her perform her own stunts in the 2005 movie, Ice Princess.
3. Michelle speaks Russian quite fluently, of which she learned from her mother.
4. Michelle actively participated in anti-drug charities in the US such as RAD Kids, Care America and even had the honor of representing the youth of America for former US President, Bill Clinton’s Coalition for a Drug Free America.
5. In a video by Newsweek, Michelle admitted that she does not like peanut butter, and says that if she dated a guy would have to brush his teeth or have some gum before he can kiss her. Catch the video here.
