Hit & Miss: Nicole Richie

She became a household name with the help of socialite, Paris Hilton on the reality TV show, The Simple Life. Nicole Richie has always been in the spotlight for being one of the Hollywood’s celebrities who evolved from a trashy party girl to a boho-chic Hollywood mom. Now, a designer at House of Harlow, and a mentor of Fashion Star, we trace back this celebrity’s good and bad moments in fashion.

1. We can’t really begin to start with what is wrong in the first picture, but that American flag top needs to go!

2. Early 2000 was not Nicole Richie’s best years in fashion. Perhaps it was peer pressure from best-friend, Paris, but the stick-straight hair, tan and pink dress makes her look like a trashy life-sized Barbie!

3. After Nicole’s relationship with Paris turned a tad sour, Nicole began developing her own signature style. Although this lilac dress may not be classiest, it’s definitely an improvement!

4. Nicole looks bedazzling in this maxi! The dress certainly takes away the signs of frumpiness from pregnancy!

5. Nicole really knows how to glamorize the hippie look. Here, she sports a gorgeous blue kimono-gown, paired with a snakeskin clutch, for wild yet calm look.

6. This is one of Nicole’s iconic looks after gaining popularity as a style star. We’re so in love with this Grecian-goddess ensemble. Take note, girls. A white dress and some accessories can go a long way!

7. It’s obvious that Nicole can teach us a thing or two about wearing something loud like a sequined dress – Keep it simple with black tights, pumps and slightly-tousled hair!

8. We can’t take our eyes off Nicole in this kaftan-like dress from Reem Acra at the 2010 Academy Awards. The hair, and dramatic make-up is definitely a winner!

9. We take a break from her gorgeous red carpet looks, and display how fabulous Nicole looks even on a regular day. Skin-tight leggings, an adorable sweater, sandals and pony-tail braid can certainly glam-up a casual ensemble.

10. Nicole sports a Mathieu Mirano gown at the ALMA Awards 2012. She looks beautiful in it, but we’re not sure her petite frame complements the dress. And with her breasts peeking out, it’s really not our favorite.
