Looking for a quiet place which serves a mixture of Japanese and Fusion cuisines? Have you dined at the Fukuharu Japanese Restaurant before? If you haven’t, that’s the one place which you should dine at with your family members and loved ones.
Located along Lorong Nibong, this place is quite and has a very beautiful scenery. Famous brands such as Adidas, Coach, and BMW have also booked this venue previously to throw various parties.
We were given a chance to taste some of the dishes which was prepared by Chef Machi himself and we found that the food which was served here did taste different compared to the regular Japanese restaurants which you find mostly in shopping malls.
“The unique thing about Japanese food is that the original taste of the ingredients are maintained. But people in Malaysia would certainly find half of the dishes served tasteless then. That is one of the reasons why I have included additional spices into the dishes to make it tastier but I still try my best keep to maintain its original taste.”
He also specified that no form of Ajinomoto is used in his dishes and these are a few of his special dishes at the Fukuharu Japanese Restaurant.
These were among the dishes which we had a chance to try:
Made from breaded scallops, crab meat and button mushroom, this Seafood Korokke is available for only RM22 and it had a very crispy and neutral taste to it. The taste of the onions are mild and it is best to be eaten when it is still hot.
Using boneless meat, the Chicken Truffle Cream is available for only RM30. Made using the teppanyaki style, the truffle sauce gave this dish the additional vinegar effect. The meat was extremely soft and the combination of its bitter, sweet and sour taste together was extremely interesting. Something new which you may have never tried before.
The Lamb Moromiso Yaki was the main dish and it was mild and juicy. The sides were crispy and the meat was well done. This is available for only RM28 and it had a very sweet taste to it.
The Sea Eel Teriyaki is available for only RM22 and it is made from mash potato and Eel meat. The meat of the Eel is extremely tender and when it is eaten together with the potato, you will get a sourish and sweetish taste in your mouth.
If you would like to come here and dine, you could either make your selection from the ala carte menu or from the set meals which are also available. When it comes to set meals, the minimum amount which you are required to spend is RM120 and you will be able to get a selection of five to six dishes. But if you are unsure what you should be choosing, then do not worry as the chef will be more than happy to help you make your pick.
