And guess what exactly when you want them to be here in Kuala Lumpur, they will be coming down! BeatauCue will be coming down to Kuala Lumpur on the 11th of May.
Wait a minute! You do know who are they right? If you do not know then read on to find out who they are, how they came this far and what is their reason for visiting KL.
They come from the town of Caen in Basse-Normandie and they started playing music when they were 15. Alexis & Mederic started to play music in their bedroom until Diplo noticed them. Diplo, a Philapelphian based American DJ, producer and songwriter gave them the opportunity to remix ‘Pon de Floor’ and he included their remix in the Major Lazer’s essential mix. Ever since then, they started gaining recognition.
After they were featured on Major Lazer, they have became famous and many well known artists have also asked them to help out with their playlists such as Kylie Minogue, Steve Aoki, and Yelle.
So what is their latest production? They came up with Kitsune, a combination of French and Electric and the most famous track from that is Kiho. According to a report from SXSW, the two DJ’s explained that all their other tracks will keep you on the dance but the difference with Kiho is that it has a happier naive vibe with a little melancholia to it.
