Aesop Malaysia welcomes a new abode in the heart of Kuala Lumpur with its ninth signature store at TRX, Tun Razak Exchange, Kuala Lumpur. Steep in deep amber, the new space is an ode to the local beverage, teh tarik, as a metaphor for its strong sense of tolerance and diversity.
In collaboration with local textile artist Muni Osman, the store was transformed into an amber-hued cocoon, with bolts of woven cotton were dyed with tea leaves and hung vertically to envelop the lofty room in a monochromatic play of translucency, warmth, and softness. Abstracting the configuration of tea being poured into cups from on high, a quartet of basins embrace the tall structural column.
AESOP FRAGRANCES
For those curious noses, the lacquered timber doors present the first Fragrance Armoire slide in Malaysia, revealing Aesop’s world of unorthodox Eaux de Parfum, each fall into one—or, on occasion, two—of the following fragrance families: floral, fresh, woody and opulent. Here, customers can discern their aromatic preferences and infuse an item of clothing with their chosen scent.
